Here’s what matters today in wrestling 🔥

We wrestling fans are known for jumping to conclusions. When Adam Pearce dropped a “break the walls down” reference into his weekly Raw hype video, many fans took that to mean that Chris Jericho would be appearing in Brooklyn for the first Raw of 2026. It seemed like a fun idea on paper, but there were a couple of things in the way. The main thing being Jericho’s availability. Jericho is still listed on AEW’s roster page, which is notable since a few names that were released were removed from the page in the last couple of days. The only presence Jericho had on Monday Night’s Raw episode was some crowd chants and a couple of moves he & others regularly use. Some fans that weren’t promised anything were still disappointed.
I would be shocked if Chris Jericho doesn’t make the move to WWE whenever his AEW contract expires. As stated in our article, AEW hasn’t used Jericho in months because they’re aware that their fans are tired of him. Don’t get me wrong, Chris Jericho was huge for early AEW. He was the perfect choice for first AEW World Champion. As time passed, the bloom went off the rose. Anything good Jericho could bring to AEW at this point wouldn’t get the acceptance it might deserve. A farewell run in WWE makes sense for everyone involved, even if WWE’s recent record with farewell runs is spotty. WWE fans will be happier to see Jericho, and as long as they hit a few high spots (cool return, fun heel turn, tear-jerking ending), they’ll accept one last Chris Jericho run. It might not have been widely discussed in the WWE Creative room yet, but you can bet some people inside are coming up with ideas for Chris Jericho.

•Je'Von Evans Officially Joins WWE Raw Roster

Evans was one of the most talked about talents on NXT in 2025, so this was only a matter of time. Looking at the Raw roster, I can see Evans doing well in an early feud with the Americanos, then there’s potential bangers with the likes of Austin Theory, Chad Gable, Finn Balor, maybe Seth Rollins down the road. Not to mention guys like Gunther & Bron Breakker who he could (has with Gunther, will again) do fun stuff with. I’m expecting Je’Von Evans to have a big 2026.

Many of us thought that Blake could just skip right from AEW to the WWE main roster. One thing working against her could be the depth of WWE’s women’s roster overall. There are more spots than ever for women on WWE TV, but the competition has never been steeper. That being said, Blake Monroe has shown the potential for greatness wherever she’s gone in the past, including NXT. If they call her up to Raw or SmackDown I can’t see her doing anything but succeeding.
