Here’s what matters today in wrestling 👇

The Vision has become one of the more cursed factions in recent memory. The group started out as the brainchild of Seth Rollins & Paul Heyman, and things were moving along well until Rollins injured his shoulder at Crown Jewel. The Vision turned against Rollins after that, with the idea that Rollins could be able to come back before WrestleMania and then go after Bron Breakker. Then Breakker got a hernia, making his status a mystery. Bronson Reed was next in line, and was set to win an Elimination Chamber qualifying match on Monday’s episode of Raw. Reed suffered a distal biceps tear during the match, leaving Jey Uso to get a Chamber spot and the Vision without another member.

So what’s next for the Vision? A lot of it has to do with the status of Rollins & Breakker, who are both reportedly rehabbing as hard as possible to get back for WrestleMania. There’s still enough time before the event to get a proper feud between them started, so it’s a possibility. As for Logan Paul & Austin Theory, I could see them forming a tag team and targeting the Usos’ World Tag Team Championship. Paul Heyman has Brock Lesnar’s agenda on his plate, so he’ll be busy no matter what happens here. It’s a terrible shame for Bronson Reed, who could have been in line for a major spot at this year’s WrestleMania. As every wrestler knows, there’s no guarantee that it will happen again.

WRESTLING HEADLINES 👊🏽

John Cena makes all the sense in the world to induct AJ into the Hall and may have been auditioning for the role through his recent media interviews. The one thing that doesn’t make sense about it is the fact that Cena should also be getting inducted into the HOF the year after his retirement. Maybe they’ll announce him for the 2027 Hall of Fame at this year’s event and spend a year building it. Or maybe we’ll find out that John Cena bet on wrestling and will be declared ineligible.

I will always admit that Ring of Honor holds a place in my wrestling fan heart. Going to ROH shows in Dayton, Ohio during the mid to late 2000s was one of the things that kept me interested in the business at a time when I could have moved on to caring about things important to most adults. It was the first place I saw folks like CM Punk, AJ Styles, Bryan Danielson, Samoa Joe & scores of others that went on to big things in later years. I haven’t really kept with ROH recently due to not having a subscription, but I am glad the brand lives on. I’ve always found studio shows preferable to tapings held before and after the show that paying customers paid to see. The latter typically results in quiet crowds that really don’t care, while studio shows give me flashbacks to the good ol’ days.
